Mental Health in the Workplace

“Mental Health in the Workplace: Steps Toward a Balanced Mind and Life”- Join us for an interactive presentation where participants will learn ways  to manage and cope with workplace stress, build resiliency, and identify strategies for personal growth. Themes are: mental health, coping skills, resilience, and personal growth.

 

Leigh Frazier is the Chief Clinical Officer for Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare.  A Roanoke native, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roanoke College, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Radford University.  Leigh is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with about 30 years of experience in the behavioral health environment.  She has worked at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem leading the Behavioral Health Center’s clinical programs for over 23 years. She also has experience as a licensed nursing home administrator with Richfield Retirement Community. In her current role, she is responsible for leadership and oversight of all the clinical programs and services at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare.  This includes Child Youth and Family Services; Adult and Family Services; Adult Care Coordination; and Access to Care.    

 

Sammi Rader is the Division Director of Prevention and Public Relations at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work; both from Radford University. Sammi has over 18 years of experience working in the human services field, specifically sexual and domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse, and mental health. The majority of her career has been in the nonprofit sector where she has extensive experience in leadership, grant writing, fundraising, and special event planning. In her current role, she is responsible for leadership and oversight of the Prevention & Wellness Division as well as oversight for all Public Relations, including agency materials, websites, social media and marketing management. She loves her role at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare because it allows her to combine her experience and passion for prevention, advocacy, and community.
